What is Shukra Aditya Sandhi Shanti?
Shukra Aditya Sandhi Shanti is a Vedic remedial ritual performed during the transition period when Venus (Shukra) and the Sun (Aditya) are in close conjunction. This time is considered astrologically sensitive and may trigger imbalance in relationships, finances, and health. Performing this Shanti helps pacify the conflict between material comfort (Shukra) and ego/authority (Surya), restoring harmony in life.

Pooja Procedure
The ritual begins with Ganapathi Pooja and Sankalpam, mentioning the planetary dosha affecting the individual. Navagraha Shanti is performed with special focus on Shukra and Surya Japam, chanting their respective beeja mantras. Offerings like white flowers, honey, sugarcane (for Venus) and red flowers, wheat, jaggery (for Sun) are made into the homa kundam. The Homam is conducted with the chanting of 108 or 1008 mantras to restore energetic balance.
After Poornahuti, symbolic items such as white cloth, mirror (Shukra) and copper items, red cloth (Surya) are donated as daanam. The ritual concludes with aarti, theertham, and prasadam. Additional recommendations may include fasting on Fridays or Sundays, reading Shukra/Surya Kavacham, and performing charitable acts. This Shanti ritual helps ease internal and external tensions during this sensitive planetary phase, leading to balanced living.
