Kalasha Sthapana is performed invoking Goddess Saraswati and Lord Vidhya Ganapathi, followed by Sankalpam stating the purpose of the Homam. The priests chant powerful Saraswati and Ganapathi mantras while offering ghee, herbs, and samidhas into the sacred fire. This ritual energizes the surroundings with divine vibrations that enhance intellect, memory, and focus.
After the Homam, Saraswati Ashtottara Shatanamavali and Ganapathi Stotras are recited, followed by the performance of Poornahuti (final offering) with devotion. The devotee then performs Pradakshina, receives theertham and prasadam, and seeks blessings. If it’s done for students, their books or pens are also placed near the homa kundam for divine blessings. The entire ritual lasts around 1.5 to 2.5 hours and brings clarity of thought, academic excellence, and spiritual growth.
