Description
What is Shani Rahu Shrapit Dosha?
Shani Rahu Shrapit Dosha occurs when Saturn (Shani) and Rahu are placed together or influence each other in a person’s horoscope, forming a karmic curse (Shrapit Yoga). This dosha results in repeated failures, fear, family issues, health problems, and blocked progress. Performing the Shrapit Dosha Nivarana Shanti helps in dissolving this past-life curse, pacifying planetary energies, and restoring peace and prosperity.

- Reduces karmic baggage and purifies ancestral or past-life curses.
- Brings relief from long-standing obstacles, court cases, and financial losses.
- Calms Saturn’s delay and Rahu’s confusion, promoting clarity and discipline.
- Improves health, career, relationships, and emotional well-being.
- Removes negativity, fear, and psychological burdens.
- Enables smoother spiritual growth and life progress.
Best Time to Perform Shrapit Dosha Shanti.
- Saturdays and Amavasya (New Moon) days are highly recommended.
- During Rahu Kalam, Shani Hora, or Grahanam (Eclipse) periods for deep karmic cleansing.
- On days of Pushya, Anuradha, or Satabhisha Nakshatra.
- During Shani Mahadasha or Rahu Mahadasha/Antardasha.
- Muhurtham should be astrologically chosen based on individual horoscope.
Shrapit Dosha Shanti Procedure.
The Shanti begins with Sankalpam, stating the purpose and name of the person afflicted by Shrapit Dosha. Ganapathi Pooja is followed by Navagraha Shanti, with special focus on Shani and Rahu Graha Japam. The priest chants the Shani Beeja Mantra and Rahu Beeja Mantra 108 or 1008 times, while offering sesame seeds, black urad, mustard seeds, and ghee into the sacred fire during the Homam.
Following the Poornahuti, symbolic items representing past karmas (like black cloth, iron pieces, or rice) are offered. The Homam is completed with distribution of theertham, prasadam, and daanams like black til, clothes, or oil to Brahmins. Feeding crows, the poor, or specially-abled individuals is also recommended. This ritual brings powerful relief from curse-born sufferings and aligns the person with dharmic life flow and peace.
