Varalakshmi Vratam 2026 – August 21 or August 28?
Many devotees have a question & confusion…
Is Varalakshmi Vratam this year on August 21st?
Or is it on August 28th?
According to the traditional calculation, Varalakshmi Vratam should be observed on the Friday preceding Shravan Shukla Purnima (the story itself refering the same).
Accordingly, this year, Friday, August 21, 2026, is the designated day for Varalakshmi Vratam.
The Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham has also officially stated that August 21, 2026 is the day to observe Varalakshmi Vratam.
Therefore, devotees can observe Sri Varalakshmi Vratam on August 21st, 2026 with devotion and seek the blessings of Goddess Varalakshmi.
